Paragraph.

KINDERGARTEN

The Kindergarten has been playing and singing Bluebird! Bluebird! Through My Window in the music classroom. They have also been learning a singing game from Africa called The Cat's Shiny Eye.  One student was chosen to be in the middle. That child closed his eyes while the other students passed a small black ball around the circle. When the music ends the students in the middle has 3 chances to guess who has the ball.

FIRST GRADE

The first grade classes enjoy playing the classroom instruments including the wood block, the triangle, the hand drum, maracas and many more.

SECOND GRADE

The second graders practice singing songs for our Friday all school Masses.

THIRD GRADE

Performing a square dance was very enjoyable and a lot of fun for our third graders.

FOURTH GRADE

The fourth graders will be learning how to play the recorder. Before they will learn the recorder they spent time learning some music terms and symbols to help them be able to read music. The fourth graders love to sing and are always very willing to practice our songs for the Friday student Masses.
Paragraph.

FIFTH GRADE

One of the instruments that all of the students like to play are the Orff xylophones. Here the fifth graders are playing these instruments. The Orff xylophones are very nice for the students to use because the bars are easily removed. This means that the only bars left on the xylophne are the ones that the students will be playing. Th fifth graders also love to sing and dance.

Sixth Grade

New this year for the sixth grade is the opportunity to learn a few basic notes and chords on the guitar. Area 1 Education Agency Keystone has sets of guitars for schools to borrow for 5 weeks. The sixth graders have thoroughly enjoyed learning how to play the guitar.
